Moving forty people is not ten times harder than moving four, but it does go wrong in different ways. Someone is late to the bus. The venue has no space for a coach to stop. The trip back leaves at eleven and the driver’s hours run out at ten. A good charter is mostly planning, and that is the part we do for you before anybody gets on board.
Our charter vehicles
How a charter booking works
- Send us the basics: dates, head count, pick-up and drop-off addresses, and the rough schedule.
- We check the route and the venues. Can a coach stop there? Is there a better loading point? How long will the drive really take at that hour?
- You get one flat price covering the vehicle, driver, fuel, tolls and parking, plus driver accommodation if the trip is overnight.
- Before the day, you receive the driver’s name and number and a confirmed timetable.
- On the day, the coach arrives early, the driver checks the head count with your group leader, and you leave on time.
Popular charters from New York
| Trip | Typical drive | Common for |
|---|---|---|
| Atlantic City | ~2.5 hrs | Casino day trips, birthdays, bachelor parties |
| Philadelphia | ~2 hrs | Conventions, college visits, games |
| Washington, DC | ~4.5 hrs | School trips, organisation visits |
| Boston | ~4 hrs | Corporate groups, tours, sports teams |
| Woodbury Common | ~1.25 hrs | Outlet shopping days |
| West Point / Hudson Valley | ~1.25–1.5 hrs | Graduations, weddings, fall foliage |
Times are typical and depend on traffic and the time of day.
Inside the city
Not every charter leaves town. Some of our busiest group work is local: hotel-to-venue shuttles for conferences at the Javits Center, wedding guests moved between hotel, church and reception, corporate dinners where nobody should be driving, and teams heading to games and concerts at Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center or MetLife Stadium.
Planning tip for shuttle loops: for a hotel-to-venue loop, one coach running continuously is often better than two vehicles at fixed times. Tell us the number of guests and the time window, and we will work out how many loops are needed so nobody waits long.
Safety and the rules
Our coach drivers hold commercial licences for passenger vehicles, and every charter is planned within federal hours-of-service rules. That is why long day trips sometimes need an early start or a second driver: a schedule that breaks the rules is not one we will run. Buses are also barred from New York’s parkways, so our routes use the expressways and interstates, and our timings already allow for it.

Charter questions
How far ahead should we book a charter bus?
Four to eight weeks for most dates. For May and June, graduation season and the weeks before Christmas, book as early as you can; coaches are the first vehicles to sell out.
What does the price include?
The coach, the driver, fuel, tolls and parking on the agreed route, and driver accommodation for overnight trips. Extra stops or changes to the schedule are agreed with you before they happen.
Can we make stops on the way?
Yes. Include them in your schedule when you ask for a quote. Rest stops on long trips are built in.
Can we eat and drink on the coach?
Snacks and soft drinks are fine. Please ask us before planning anything more, such as catering or alcohol for adults, so we can tell you what is allowed on your trip.
We have more than 56 people. What then?
We run several vehicles on one timetable, either two coaches or a coach with a Sprinter or minibus, whichever fits your group and budget best.
