Manhattan is where a booked car earns its keep. Hailing on Park Avenue in the rain, waiting for an app car that keeps circling the block, or standing outside a theatre at 10:45 with two thousand other people: none of it is how you want to start or end a trip. A chauffeur who already knows the building, the entrance and the time you need to leave turns that into a non-event.

Which airport from Manhattan?
From most of Manhattan, LaGuardia is the quickest. JFK is the main international gateway but the longest drive from the west side. Newark is often quickest from Lower Manhattan and the far West Side, through the Holland or Lincoln Tunnel. For private flights, Teterboro is 25 to 50 minutes from Midtown.
Leaving Midtown for a flight? Allow about two and a half hours for a domestic LaGuardia departure, three and a half to four hours for JFK international, and three to four for Newark, more on a weekday afternoon. We suggest a pick-up time for your route when you book.

Busy dates in Manhattan
A few weeks a year the city gets much harder to drive: the UN General Assembly in September, the NYC Marathon in early November, Thanksgiving week, the Rockefeller Center tree lighting, and New Year’s Eve. Road closures and demand both spike. Book early for those dates, and expect us to suggest earlier pick-up times.

Manhattan questions
Can you pick me up from my hotel?
Yes. Give us the hotel name and we will confirm the best entrance. Some hotels have a driveway or a side street that is far easier than the main door.
Is a car service worth it inside Manhattan?
For a short hop at midday, honestly, often not. Where it pays off is airport runs, groups, days with several stops, anything with a hard deadline, and late nights when finding a ride is hardest.
Can a coach pick up in Manhattan?
Yes, but not everywhere. Some streets and hotel fronts cannot take a full-size coach. Send us the address and we will confirm a pick-up point that works, or suggest our 28-seat mini bus instead.
